Surface Pro X Adapters and Docks
Surface Pro X Adapters and Docks

Two USB Type-C ports and an LTE Advanced connectivity do make Surface Pro X. Released in 2019, this device is the latest from the long line of Surface Pro products.

Surface Pro X takes pride in its battery life of up to 13 hours, based on routine tasks, the performance delivered by Microsoft SQ1 processor while maintaining a sleek and lightweight design. Its RAM can reach up to 16 GB; its storage, up to 512 GB.

The 13-inch display boasts of edge-to-edge screen experience and adjusts to lighting conditions. It also supports Surface Pen and Type Cover, which are sold separately.

The Surface Pro X is a nifty and compact 2-in-1 tablet/notebook that is excellent for doing your work on the go. Given its sleek profile and compact design, the Surface Pro X has a reasonable number of ports, and unlike the Surface Pro 7, it includes a Nano-SIM slot for cellular data and related LTE connections. Other ports include:

      • Two standard USB-C ports
      • One Surface Connect+ Port
      • One microSD card reader under the kickstand

The USB-C ports can be used for USB Power Delivery (the Microsoft proprietary Connect+ port can also work), data transfer on the USB 3.2 Gen 2 protocol (10 Gbps) and output to two 4K monitors at 60Hz (one for each port).

While impressive for a tablet of its size, the ports are nowhere near enough if you have more than two peripheral devices. You’ll need to invest in a portable hub or adapter to add connectivity without impacting the mobility of your Surface Pro X. For example, you’ll need a headphone/earphone jack and a few more USB-A and USB-C ports just to power your regular machines.

This is why you need the BizHUB USB hub from Juiced Systems.

      Importance of USB Hubs

Your Surface Pro X has no standard-type USB-A ports, which becomes inconvenient should you need to connect devices with USB-A outlets. Lots of devices on the market now still need USB-A connections, even though USB-C devices are becoming the standard connection type for the future. BizHUB USB adapter includes two USB-A ports which can power data transfer speeds of up to 10 Gbps.

Using BizHUB docking station, you can connect to and power multiple devices without affecting the output of your Surface Pro X. You can have your external mouse and keyboard when using the Surface as the main working station, for example, and even connect to USB drives and printers.

BizHUB includes ports to enable various other connection interfaces, such as:

      • 10/100/1000 Gigabit Ethernet for devices that need wired connections
      • MicroSD card reader
      • Full SD card reader
      • One HDMI port that delivers 4K output at 30 Hz (Check out our NovaHUB if you need 60Hz refresh rate)
      • One USB-C port for USB Power Delivery (up to 60 Watts)
      • Audio jack

The sleek and compact BizHUB docking station comes in Space Grey, Black, Silver and Gold, with a flat USB-C cable that can be folded into the hub for better portability. You won’t find a better docking station at a reasonable price.
